Easter, the first of the long holiday weekends of the year will soon be here and now is the time to check that your car is in good shape and ready to take on those long trips to the coast, tourist attraction or foreign trip.

Check out the state of the tyres- are they in good condition? Plenty of tread left, no damage to the sidewall and inflated to the correct pressure?

What about the bodywork? Now is the time to look for those little bits of rust, get rid of stonechips that could lead to trouble later and give the underside of the car a really good wash to get rid of the salt that you have picked up over the winter from slated roads.

The windscreen? Again are there any chips or cracks? Many of these can be repaired so well that you would never know they had ever existed so talk to your local windscreen repair company.

Look at the inside-maybe the upholstery could do with a spring clean? Perhaps the carpet has got a bit grubby over the winter?

Lastly make sure the engine is ready to cope with long journeys and higher temperatures. Not sure what needs doing? Then call us and we will be happy to quote you for a service, a little financial outlay now could save you an expensive call-out /recovery bill later.
