Plastic Recycling at St Andrews Church Car Park
There are many different types of plastic used in
packaging and some are not yet recyclable. But at present South Cambs residents
can recycle three types of plastic bottle – 1, 2 and 3.
These include water, squash, fizzy drinks, cleaning products
and toiletry bottles.
 |
PET |
Polyethylene
terephthalate - fizzy drink
bottles
|
 |
HDPE |
High-density
polyethylene - bottles for milk and
washing-up liquids
|
 |
PVC |

shampoo
|
These codes can be found on the bottom of most bottles.
Plastics bottles with codes 4, 5, 6, and 7 cannot be recycled using the banks,
these should be put into the black wheeled bin.
Labels do not need to be removed, but residents are advised to squash
them and remove the lids. Click Here to view the instruction notice on the bank
