Stop that Stain

The Christmas festivities are over, but we are left with the stains to remember it by, many of us are absolutely devastated when the kids, grandchildren or guests accidentally spill chocolate, wine, tea or tomato sauce on our cream carpets and new suites. The smallest stains and spots can ruin beautiful furnishings that we work hard to buy and are proud of.

Don't despair help is at hand, by following these simple instructions you have a high chance of saving yourself unnecessary heartache. Remember before applying any cleaning solutions pre-test on an inconspicuous area!

Act immediately to remove stains, by blotting with a white absorbent towelling or paper. For semi-solid spills lift gently using a spoon or the back of a knife.

With all stains work from the outer edge, to the centre, to avoid spreading

Avoid rubbing, or too much pressure as this could damage the fabric pile - just blot

Follow the steps in the table below for each type of stain. Apply using clean white absorbent material and blot into the stain.

Then blot dry ~ continue this until there is no colour from the stain transferred onto the paper

Then move to step 2 - use the same procedure

Then step 3

Avoid over wetting and blot the treated area as dry as possible
