Full Council meetings are usually held on the 4th Monday of the month
(excepting Bank Holidays, when the meeting will then be held on the 3rd Monday of the month).
Planning Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of the month.
All Council meetings are held at 7.30pm, in the Memorial Hall, High Street (unless otherwise stated).
All of the Council’s meetings (but excepting agenda items for meetings which relate to sensitive personal or financial matters) are open to the public.
There is a 10 minute Public Forum session at the start of each meeting, when members of the public can raise items for future discussion or questions on items on the current agenda. Following this members of the public are not permitted to take part in the agenda discussion.
The Annual Parish Meeting is a community meeting and is held to discuss parish topics. Reports from local Cllrs, village charities and organisations are given. In England where a parish has a local council, the meeting is called by the Chairman of the Parish Council and that person Chairs the meeting. The Annual Parish Meeting must take place between 1 March and 1 June each year. In Swavesey the meeting generally takes place on the second Wednesday of April.
