Now who was it that said, "if winter comes can spring be far behind"? Well, you must admit it keeps trying; let us hope that by the time this issue comes out spring will be well and truly here. Oh, and by the way, please don't all rush and tell me I have misquoted the above! I am sure I have but also sure that I am not the first and certainly not the last!

Now I really must have a little "dig" at you all. Come on, where are all those articles I know are lurking out there? All of you who have looked at the Meridian and moaned "its full of adverts" well... the solution is in your hands/pen/word processor/ computer. WRITE SOMETHING! Even if it's only a report on your club or society, an outing you went on, a talk you enjoyed, don't keep it to yourself: let us all know. We are still looking for more help with the magazine too, so please contact Naomi with any offers.

Reminder! Your editor is also the village correspondent for the Cambridge Evening News, so if you want something mentioned get in touch with me. BUT please remember that I need the details of any event you want to publicise at least 3 weeks in advance to ensure that it gets put in in time. I can telephone or email things if it looks like they will not make it, but then they don't get into Community News, only News in Brief. Thanks.

DEADLINES: A REMINDER!
Please submit your articles, etc. by the deadline, or ahead of it if they are ready. I have noticed an increasing tendency for items to arrive through my door AFTER the deadline, and I am afraid that in future if this happens they can't be included. It may only be a couple of days late to you, but it makes extra work for the production team all of whom have day jobs and are working in their spare(?) time. The next deadlines are:

APRIL 25TH (for the June/July edition) JUNE 25TH (for August/Sept).
