By the time you read this article Your library will have been open for business for almost 6 months. Have you used this facility? If not then why not?

This is Your Library and to succeed it needs your support.

As with any new venture things do not always go as you expect and certainly it hasn't here, we've had our share of frustrating teething problems, mainly to do with the computers and their access to library systems and the Internet. These we are sure are now behind us and we hope they didn't put you off using our library, if they did, then please come along and give us a second chance. It as wonderful local facility that needs your support to thrive

Over the next 6 months we aim to build on the current services available at Your library and to this end we need your ideas and input

It's your library - so tell us what you want and we will try to provide it

One of the suggestions is that we start a book club for those avid readers among us. Cambridge libraries tell us that if we start a club they would provides us with however many copies of a particular book that we require - anyone interested? Children / adults / pensioners / local societies -the sky's the limit

Another is the provision of tea & coffee. - This will be in place by the time you read this article.

Just mention your ideas to one of our volunteers or one of our committee at the numbers below and we will try and put them into practise.

Forthcoming events will include further children's story times and a book sale day - please watch out for local adverts around the village and at Your library

One of the questions regularly asked is "What additional services can Your Library offer that you cannot obtain from the mobile library?"
