Swavesey Meridian Apr/May 2007
ppd9cb2108.jpg
It is nice to have the lighter mornings and evenings back again and with this issue coming out just as Easter approaches we can all look forward to getting out and enjoying the countryside around us. The RSPB now own the nature reserve at Fen Drayton lakes so let us hope they can help secure the future of the wildlife that uses it, despite the guided bus. One question however that we need to know the answer to- will we still be able to access the area freely or will we have to join the RSPB in order to enjoy the many walks that are available there? Does anyone know the answer?

Are you planning a summer fete? dance? Fundraising evening? then let us know so we can tell everyone else, The Meridian not only goes to all the houses in the village but also further afield by subscription, and our website is open to the world!

The Swavesey Festival planned for 2008 could be a great event for Swavesey have you any ideas? Not sure who to contact? Then tell us and we will pass your message on.

Deadline for the June/July issue is 20th April.

DEADLINES!
Please can I remind everyone that we need you to stick to the deadlines for items for publication. This applies to ALL items including adverts. If we do not have it by the deadline then please don't get upset if we do not put it in; would you expect a train to wait for you? a plane to be held up for you? hopefully most people accept that if they do not arrive at a station or airport at the right time then they miss their connection. It is the same for The Meridian! yes it is a village magazine but we have to keep to deadlines ourselves for it to be printed so it arrives on time on your doorstep please STICK TO THE DEADLINE!!
For June/July it is 20th APRIL.
