Swavesey festival
Your Library has a number of events planned to run during festival week, at the time of going to press these include a children’s story time and face painting afternoon, poetry reading and cheese and wine evening,  so please keep an eye on the festival programme to avoid disappointment.

Do you have a long car journey ahead of you this summer?
Then why not borrow an audio story to pass the time and help keep those bored children occupied. Audio discs are available for a wide range of both children’s and adult stories. Plus if you have a portable DVD player in your car then you can borrow these as well. Whilst these discs are not kept on the shelves at Your Library, we can quickly and easily order them in from any of the surrounding Cambridgeshire libraries. Please come along to Your Library, where our staff can assist you in ordering your favourite stories and films. These discs are subject to a small hire fee.

Books from other libraries
You will be please to know that you can now return books borrowed from any Cambridgeshire Library, and we hope that you will take out a few of our books in return.

Support required
Swavesey Library is a voluntary run library, which means no paid staff and no financial support .We are therefore very much dependant on our band of dedicated volunteers, book sale income and donations to keep this library within the village.
To continue to grow / offer additional services, we need not just additional financial support, but also additional volunteers  -  this is where you come in. If you feel you can offer us a couple of hours a month to assist in running this wonderful village facility, then we would be very pleased to hear from you, just mention it to one of our volunteers when next you call round to the library or phone one of the committee listed below. It’s not a hard job, there are always two people on duty, full training is given – you don’t have to be a computer whizz kid. By assisting us you help to keep this library within the village and gain the satisfaction of providing a service to those people both young and old who enjoy reading.
All we ask for is just two hours of your time each month.
