On the 4th November 2003, Your Library was officially
opened by Dr Neil Cross, Chairman of the Royal Society
Of Arts. This was a grand occasion with over 60 local
dignitaries and villagers witnessing Dr Cross cut the
ribbon and give a short speech to declare the library
Open. Verity Ladds ¬(Your Library Chair person) thanked
everyone for attending and then went on to explained
the reasons behind this volunteer library being set
up, emphasising the fact that this is “Your Library”.
The following tea and nibbles gave everyone time
to see what we had to offer. How many of you noticed
the articles in the local Press and saw our 30 seconds
of fame on national television?
