I don't believe it! No, I have not turned into Victor Meldrew overnight but am still amazed that our "Meridian" has managed to gain Highly Commended in the Village and Community News awards for THE SECOND YEAR RUNNING! I am sure you will join me in saying a big "thank you" to everyone who has helped to do this, the competition was fierce and there are so many good magazines being produced throughout the county. A full report is in this edition (thanks Vicki!). Thank you for taking note of my reminder about deadlines, the next one is June 25tn, but 1 will be happy to receive items before this date, and please remember that this will be for the August/September edition so anything you have planned for the summer holiday period or for the start of the new school term needs to be in by June 25f'' so that it can go into the magazine and then everyone will know about it. We need a few more people to join our list of distributors. In fact the more we have, (lie less there is for each of you to do and if distributors are on holiday or too busy to deliver the magazine then some residents may miss events because they got their magazine too late.
