EDITORIAL

High summer, and June looks like being an exciting month for Swavesey with the first Swavesey festival. All we need now is a fine day and you! Come along and support all the events that are planned, join in the Village Show and just have fun!.

Long days and light evenings mean time spent in the garden, be it cutting the grass, or just lazing on it but please remember your neighbours when you are enjoying your gardens. Your music may not be their choice, your barbeque may not smell as appetising to them as it does to you and they may like to sit in their garden in peace and quiet.

Planning your summer holiday? Taking your camera? Then if you take any photos of interesting places, unusual scenes, action shots why not let us have them and if they are suitable you could see your work on the inside cover of The Meridian! We are not promising to use them but you never know.

Finally DEADLINES!! Yes I know I am always going on about these but it DOES matter, it IS important that we have your items, adverts, snippets of news etc by the deadline otherwise we cannot include them. There is a lot of work involved in the layout and proof reading for the magazine and if we have to rush then we make mistakes.

Deadline for August/September is 20th JUNE!
