A view of Hunstanton Railway Station in the
early 1900s. Today a fun fair and coach park
occupy the site. This view looking towards the
buffers was obviously taken during the quiet time
of the day.
The line was very popular with thousands of
'humblier citizens' each year with 'holiday
trains' and 'excursions' "where the long island
platforms could take excursion trains with up to a
thousand people aboard and discharge them straight
on to the promenade and pier" (Joby page 7)
